5 short beeps means motherboard issue. But it is strange since you're saying
sometimes it is booting.
Try what nadebula.1984 said. Clean RAM first. Then try with one stick only.
(then switch with the other stick) See if it improves anything.
You might want to try to disconnect the CMOS battery
Try to clean or replace the SO-DIMM module(s). T420/s accepts almost every
DDR3/L SO-DIMM.
Hello guys, recently I bought a thinkpad t420s from ebay, this is a
refurbished computer, when I turned it on, it started correctly and could
access to the windows installation that came with it. After a reboot to
