No need to "install", I never do. Get the latest Tor-Browser here (portable executable). https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en Extract to ~/Desktop, and launch.

I always have issues when my system go to sleep and I'm forced to restart the system and disable hibernate option in the system. Sorry I cant help, but I noticed this issue with all the distributions that I tested in the past (Ubuntu,Manjaro,Trisquel,elementary os,Debian,Fedora)
