I wanted to try your suggestions but the trouble doesn't happen. Wifi tethering is fine now. I have been connecting with the internet more than a hour. But I learned some things, and it seems that it is better to avoid USB tethering an iPhone to the machine. I might jailbreak this phone and i

I think you can prevent it from being automatically removed using apt-mark. Manually installed packages should not be autoremoved. https://www.computerhope.com/unix/apt-mark.htm I've found it easier to reinstall in these cases.
