I also use Mullvad and it does require a newer kernel than the one provided by Trisquel. The solution is easy, you can find libre kernels on Jxself's website (jxself.org/linux-libre) to update your kernel. Simply follow the instructions and Mullvad should work, if you have Libreboot you shoul

Thanks for that, but I forgot this machine is 32bit. You like that could factor in why Mullvad won't work ? I'm really at my wits end with this. I got this perfect X60 ready to rock and I won't use it without my vpn.

Yeah everything you said is true about the configurations. My model has a 32 bit processor and only 1GB of ram. But I can assure you that pretty much everything works relatively smoothly in terms of browsing the internet. Videos are a little rough. But gmail, google maps, eBay, this website

I have checked the said model. Its CPU, namely Atom Z520, is indeed a 32-bit one (unlike most other legacy Atom processors). Another drawback is the onboard RAM (can't upgraded). The HDD seems to be a 1.8-inch IDE one (either ZIF or Toshiba-type interface). You can try to find a CF card conve
