I use openbox+tint2 for many years, it is extremely customizable and takes
very small amount or memory. This my favorite environment and I won't change
it.
I also got problems with mouse and clicks. I solved the problems by upgrading
more recent kernel 4.18.16-gnu. I have now 4.19-gnu no problems as well.
How to upgrade your libre kernel you can read here
https://jxself.org/linux-libre/
It is very easy to do.
I am going to buy librebooted laptop next year probably. I needed to use old
to see, can I do everything I want on Trisquel what I need. yes I can, will
buy.
I have experience to do buy anything before try.
Trisquel mini includes midori, but I strongly doesn't recommend to use it.
Abrowser is the best choice in my opinion. If you are paranoid then use
IceCat.
I think no. Techoethical selles 10 years old laptops for 4-10x higher price
to survive somehow. I bought the same laptop on trash-market for 25 EURO.
I am using Trisquel Mini with Openbox windows manager. So a lot of stuff
which are in MATE isn't loaded for me as default.
Anyway everything works now fine. Ty!
Fn+[key] didn't work. I started to search the web and found that in Mint and
Ubuntu same problem appears.
I installed mate-power-manager and mystically Fn+[key] started to work and
random clicks disappeared.
@Magic Banana thanks for tip.
Solved!
I use trisquel about 2 weeks and very happy, but I found one small problem.
I have found recently in Trisquel, that time to time with random intervals
happens mouse click, even if I don't touch the laptop and the mouse USB cable
is plugged off. What might cause the problem? Maybe some problems
4.4 is a bit old already in my opinion, at least I got problems with drivers.
I have installed recently 4.18.13-gnu from https://jxself.org/linux-libre/.
Works perfectly now!
Yes I was wrong. This is gettext link.
Thank you for your answer.
Sorry if questions are too stupid and too newbish, but anyway. I need some
explanations.
I see that GNU doesn't endorse Haskell
https://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/manual/html_node/List-of-Programming-Languages.html
Is GHC libre compatible or not https://www.haskell.org/ghc/license.html ?
I
Not sure that helps, but try to put value -1.
Anyway I quit midori for Abrowser.
Midori is good for it's light weight, but it has a lot of bugs which makes it
for my tasks unusable.
