I have Trisquel 7 running on a Lenovo Thinkpad X200 that I got from Vikings.
Is it safe for me to upgrade to Trisquel 8? Is there any software that could
end up breaking or stop working as a result of this upgrade?
What are the advantages of upgrading to Flidas from Belenos?
Thanks!
You are the man!!! Thanks a lot.
I actually had a two-part problem. The wifi wasn't connecting automatically,
which you helped me solve. The following answer is what fixed it for me:

The problem is that I have to do this after every reboot/suspend. I don't
want to. I want to be able to boot up my machine or open up the lid and have
it connect immediately...like any other modern OS.
Hello, this is my first post here. I have an x200 from Vikings. Here is the
version of Trisquel and kernel I am running:
Linux version 3.13.0-129-generic (pbuil...@devel.trisquel.info) (gcc version
4.8.4 (Ubuntu 4.8.4-2ubuntu1~14.04.3) ) #178+7.0trisquel2 SMP Tue Aug 29

Not sure why, but I noticed when doing an apt-get update that
us.archive.trisquel.info is very very slow, but just initially; seems to
download packages fine once it gets going. It didn't used to be this way,
say, a few weeks ago.
Anyway, I was trying out Trisquel 7 net install and noticed
For me (and I'm kinda new to Trisquel) I made sure I had the following
installed:
$ dpkg -l | grep virtualbox
ii virtualbox-guest-dkms
4.1.12-dfsg-2ubuntu0.5+6.0trisquel1x86 virtualization solution -
guest addition module source for dkms
