Hey Chris,
I enjoyed reading your perspective on this issue. I agree that project
like this is certainly a necessary one. However this specific project

Hi Dave,
I am glad you got this working! I made the suggestion because I just
installed Lightning yesterday morning as well so I was sure it was

I do not think that this is censorship, and is certainly is not
hurting any cause. GNU, FSF, and projects like this one are doing just
fine.

Hi Dave,
Adding Lightning is very simple!
1) Open IceDove
2) Open the Menu on the top right
3) Select Add-Ons
* (Alternatively you can right click on the top of the IceDove window, select
"Menu Bar" and then go to Tools -> Add-Ons)
4) Search for Lightning
5) Install and Restart IceDove
Wow, this is awesome! Thanks for sharing :)
Hello,
Please have a look at the bug report, the issue is that the drive is not auto
mounting and it can be fixed simply by installing usbmount.

I also agree. :) Trisquel 7 is the best release yet!
This is the first I have heard of openshift, thanks for sharing!
You will also need to open up a port on your home router to allow SSH
conncetions. In addition, you will need to either jot down your IP address,
or set up dynamic DNS (unless you have a static IP address at home).

The new website looks awesome! Great job! :)
This is in excellent article, thanks for writing it up!
The built in statistics module in Gnumeric is powerful and easy to use. Not a
lot of people know about it and it is much more robust than what LibreOffice
calc has to offer.
I agree that R is amazing and the way to go for basic or advanced statistics,
despite the steep learning curve.
I agree that this website is not particularly helpful, but it is nice to get
some visibility. Hopefully new users to GNU/Linux will see Trisquel at the
bottom and give it a try!
If you follow the instructions on http://jxself.org/linux-libre/ it is super
easy to upgrade to a different version of the kernel.

I am sad! I bought my ticket, T shirt, and was all set to go - but then I got

Nice job with the site! It looks great for a "newbie" :)
Hey Lembas,
Thanks for the link! this is great information -- unfortunately even when
this computer had Windows on it, it would max out at around 2.5 hours so
surprisingly Trisquel does just as well!

Also -- Maybe worth mentioning, the touch screen (while faddish and kind of
useless) works with the latest libre-kernel. :)
Hey!
I am using a Lenovo IdeaPad S210 Touch-- It was under $300, my version came
with the Atheros wireless card, and everything works perfectly out of the
box.
The only thing I do not like is the battery life is only around 2 hours.

Hey Jason, thanks for posting these videos, they were great!
As an add on to my previous rant -- when Chris says there is no mention of
Ubuntu. This crystal clear diagram of "How Trisquel is Made" pretty much sums
it up. I am not sure if he wants us to praise Ubuntu on every single page,
but this is about as good of attribution as I can think of.

I agree with sirgazil, I applaud the efforts to make something free on all
accounts.
It is very difficult to have 100% free hardware, but when it comes to
software, media, documentation -- this is something that we can control and I
encourage others to do so.
I agree with the notion that the libre kernel should be distributed to as
many places as possible, but at the same time depending on how much time and
resources that would take I would hate to see less attention devoted to
refining trisquel and being spent on providing a kernel that may or ma

Hey all,
I have a quick question. If something is dual licensed, is it considered
"free"?
I think I have a decent understanding of the FSF guidelines, but FBreader
stumps me because they have a default GPL license and a separate
"closed-source" commercial license.
