I have the same issue, I'm trying to make a trisquel-netinstall live usb. I even tried to run: $ usb-creator-gtk -i ~/Downloads/trisquel-netinst_5.0_i686.iso I also cleared the first block of the drive like this: $ sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdc bs=512 count=1; sudo blockdev --rereadpt
