Nice. I still love the X60 I bought from you.
I just did a new install and can't find whatever setting controls this.
I can only lock my system manually, or by waiting for the screensaver to
start and lock it. Closing the lid puts it to sleep but does not lock the
system.
I tried this with the latest Icecat with a fresh install of Trisquel Mini.
I'm happy to report that it does in fact work, but with one extra step, you
have to reboot before Icecat shows up anywhere. Once you reboot, it's fine.
This also happens with Librebooted Thinkpad X60. The WAS a fix for it. The
fix was basically just installing powertop. There was a whole section of the
Libreboot website about it.
I say there WAS a fix because it no longer works. It sucks but in the best
and latest version of Trisquel that
Just throwing this out there, but there's also Tomb if anyone cares about
that.

I've found Tomb to be really easy to use.
There isn't something that does both? A client that tries OMEMO first and
falls back to OTR would be idea.
I want to use Jabber from my X60 with Trisquel Mini and since I am unable to
install Gajim or Dino or Psi, I am wondering what you are all using.
With Gajim the package in the repos is way way too old, but installing the
current version via their website here

Yes, that does work. It asks for my password, I enter it and it starts
working again. But why does it do this on a fresh install? I obviously don't
think anyone should need to open a terminal, type this command, type their
password, and hit enter every time they open their laptop.
I have a fresh install of the latest Trisquel 8 Mini on my thinkpad X60.
Pretty much everything is great except that wifi does not work at all after
waking from sleep.
I can use wifi for hours on end while it's awake with no issues. But if I
close the laptop and open it again I get a notifica

This worked! It's great! Thank you!
I installed abrowser like people here said, and I used it a lot and then put
my x60 to sleep. When I tried to run abrowser the next day it would not
start. I rebooted and tried again. It did not start. Then I tried to start it
from the terminal. This is what I got:

I will try this when I have more time, but it seems you are doing gods work.
OH. Midori moved to github.
Hunnh. Alright. That's weird. So is there a special reason why the regular
Icecat can't be in he repos? I could run it from a tarball but I'm not savvy
enough to install it from one.
I can report that I also have the problem with abrowser.
Oh jeeze, I got that mixed up.
> Hang/freeze during downloads
I also have this problem but with Icecat.
I've installed Trisquel Mini and I love it. I love Trisquel mini. It's so
much faster than Trisquel on my Libreboot X60.
The browser it comes with is Midori, a browser I fell in love with when it
came around but the project died like 4 years ago and AFAIK it still uses a

Oh my god. I have owned this laptop for 4 years. I have never once noticed
that switch there on the bottom. Not once ever. I am a huge idiot. Thank you.

I said that I tried that.
Anyone? Please?
Good to know.

Is there some other way the disk can be in use when it's not mounted?
I specifically tried unmounting all the partitions, but it says nome of them
are mounted. So I don't know how I can get an error saying it's in use. I'm
stuck here.
Right, I should have thought of that. Thank you.
Here's the output now:

I'm trying different solutions but they are not working and producing weird
results. I don't know what to do.

I might be able to. I can boot xbuntu successfully and access the drive from
xbuntu, but not my home folder, so I'd really like to get this fixed.
I had this same problem. Only flatpak fixed it. I'd rather it work as a read
install from the Trisquel repos.
I'm trying to chat with Rendezvous on Trisquel. It gives me the message
"Unable to establish connection with the local mDNS server. Is it running?"

So here's what actually worked. I changed

to
fsck /dev/mapper/trisquel--vg-root
And I got my system back.

I am a silly man.
Thanks.
Back in Trisquel 7 it came with Electrum and I used it a lot. It does not
come with Trisquel 8, and it's not in the repos either. I still have my keys
form the old electrum. How do I get it back in Trisquel 8?
I use Tox. qTox is the best client for video calling. There's also the tools
like tuntox and toxVPN which are pretty cool. Raxtox is cool client for
reasons of scripting ability.
This looks very cool!
I will try updating and report back.
Very glad to hear that.
If you could possibly help me just get my USB HD running then I will just
back up my home folder, wipe everything out and install Trisquel 8. It's
about time anyways.
I've also just realized the battery applet is gone and sound no longer works.
1. No.
2. I just did sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get upgrade
3.
I'll paste the output of these since I don't know what they mean.

I can't actually power the laptop off now. The icons for it aren't in their

Holy fuck. That is terrifying.
I want an update too but being rude does not make it happen any faster.
The reason is that basically it's not really what it says it is. If you
install the ruby2.0 package what you actually get is ruby1.9.3 for some
reason. A real 2.0 Ruby is not actually in the repo. I don't know if this is
a bug or just a mislabeling but I reported it, and the workaround I was

Is that an SKS?
I already can do that, like I said in my original post. It's problems with
all drives not automounting anymore which is what I have a problem with. It's
not just one drive that has errors on it or something.
What if I no longer have access to the drive that made this mess? It was for
a job and did not belong to me.
This software is not Free. I'll stick with Tox.
So why rbenv?
Installing both of those on my system actually gave me Ruby1.9.3.
http://pastebin.com/7j8M41W4
It does say that, but installing the ruby2.0 package actually gives you
ruby1.9.3, I don't know why, but it does.
Wow, great typo.
For whatever reasons the version of Ruby that one can get in the Trisquel
repos is old. Too old to be useful. I try to install Jekyll and get this -

XFCE.
It's got features of newer DEs, and does everything Trisquels default DE does
while being more customizable and using way less RAM and CPU. It's just so
much better than Trisquels default in all the ways.
I'm on a fresh install of Trisquel. I was wondering if there would be any way
to make it so that Icecats private window runs everything through Tor. It
used to be able to, but I have not been on Trisquel for a little while and on
this fresh install it does not have that feature.
Are the boots Libre?
Both of these are perfect! Thank you.
On a fresh install of Trisquel, how do I...
1. Remove panel applets? It will only give me options to add applets, not
remove them.
2. Take the minimize, maximize, and close buttons, and put them on the left?
By default they are on the right and I don't know how to change that.
PSA: NOBODY UPGRADE YOUR TRISQUEL INSTALLS! I rebooted. EVERYTHING IS BROKEN
NOW! Icecat and abrowser are both gone. Wallpaper won't come back. ALL icons
are broken, I can't take any screenshots because it won't let me create any
new files, wifi is gone, the login screen is mostly gone, and
I should also add that some of my icons are broken now.
I did do that, I just excluded it because it was like 200 extra lines of text

I just tried to upgrate my system and then started getting some errors, which
I can't fix because of the errors.

I tried going into synaptic and filtering by all broken packages, but it just

XFCE has mostly taken over my system, but certain GNOME parts still run at
start up and cause me problems. When I lock my PC I sometimes have to enter
my password twice, once to unlock the XFCE screen locker, and then a second
time to unlock the GNOME screen locker running in the background.
Does anyone have any new information on this? It's kind of a big risky
problem.
I can't even decrypt emails I send to myself.
Is there any free wifi card that would work inside it?
Did it work?
Well I'm glad it's not just me, I guess.
Twister is pretty great.
Is it a hard problem or is just no one working on it?
None that I know of. I long for a day when there is something like Twister
for videos. http://twister.net.co/
No, it happens in all applications. Not just the terminal.
I do not know what version I am running! I bought it running libreboot, and I
remember a year ago I updated it a couple times but have not done so since.
Is there a way for it to tell me what version it is?
Okay, though I'm not familiar with dmesg, what do I look for in it's output
to find things related to the keyboard?
How do you know it's a libreboot problem? Like I said it problem did not
occur under other distros.
It probably only happens once every 1.5 months but still, my keyboard just
seems to turn off. Trackpoint works fine! But there is no output from the
keyboard at all. This does not seem to happen in other distros I tried on the
Libreboot X60. I really can't tell what could cause it to happen,
That fixed it, thank you.
Apparently systemd is giving some problems to Arch users who don't use
systemd. Just thought it's relevant.

I'm not nearly smart enough to figure out how to put everything in those
indexes together and make a working program out of it all, there's no

something I've wanted for years!
