Trying to install

I have a kernel panic situation after doing apt upgrade.
I forgot to do autoremove and autoclean. My fault.
Now it doesn´t boot.
I dont´t see the option to use another kernel.
I wake up early, I spend 8 euros in a pendrive, I download Trisquel and
create a bootable USB drive.
I connect the
There have been some weird messages in Trisquel-announce Digest, Vol 16,
Issue 2.
Does someone know if Rubén is OK?
There is now a new column with delay information with respect to base OS in
Wikipedia page of Trisquel.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trisquel
As far as I know, Trisquel just strips down proprietary software from an
Ubuntu release.
We should be able to identify and delete all proprietary software just by
running a script.
Then a new Trisquel version should be published within hours of an Ubuntu
release.
What am I missing
Do you have a phone?
Do you use web services like Gmail, youtube, google etc?
Do you have a Amazon Kindle?
Thank you comrades for your help.
I solved the problem doing the following.
In the screen that I am stuck (log in screen) I invoke a terminal (C+M+F2).
Then I do apt-get clean, autoclean, check, update, and everything else that
seems to purify my system.
Then I reboot and everything is
Today I edited some audio with audacity. But it was taking too much time so I
powered off my machine, abruptly, by holding the power button.
Upon restart, I cannot log in or do anything useful with my computer.
I have three options when logging in in terms of desktop environment: MATE,
i3
Does anyone know any free software program capable of removing DRM from ACSM
formated files?
The preferred output format would be pdf.
Answer from rms.
I think the reference is

What is the name of the decompiler that Stallman mentions at the beginning of
the following video?
https://media.libreplanet.org/u/libreplanet/m/free-software-awards-1c4f/
I've duckduckgone it but no obvious result comes out.
I've reproduced the bug in two computers, both of them running Trisquel 7.
The FSF rates with F github and an A Savannah.
On the other hand, there are a lot of projects that I want to contribute to
that are hosted in github...
Damned network effect...
The problem is that is better to do the computing with free software in your
computer that in a web server. In fact it is the only way to retain your
freedom in computing.
Thank you, that was a very good answer.
Then Debian and Ubuntu should be approved FSF distros because they offer the
option to install only free software.
Stallman says he refuses to install proprietary software. When did he change
his mind? Why was it OK to use a computer before libreboot appeared?
Is there any guidelines as to
How does Richard Stallman and the free software community deal with the
cognitive dissonance associated with the following behaviors?
Having a PayPal button in GNU, FSF and Trisquel.
Using a proprietary bootloader (before switching to libreboot.
Just curious.
I am concerned that people in my entourage use Windows. They complain about
viruses, about the computer being slow, about annoying pop-ups, unwanted
programs and sometimes the inability to change the home page of their browser
due to some malware.
At the same time I see that since using
Can you provide some links?
I cannot find that feedback you refer to. What were the reasons proposed to
not include the network clause?
I find it to be a failure to protect users.
Is there any reason not to license software whose primary purpose is not to
run in a server?
What's stopping me from licensing everything
I am reliant on gmail and YouTube anti services. Also Android.
Is it possible to live without email?
Not trolling, just saying.
I don't know what to do about my reliance on Google's user-subjugating
software
This title is based on the premise that web services are proprietary,
user-subjugating when they are not Aferro GPL licensed.
BTW, Google forbids software licensed under AGPL.
Here is my line of thought.
Some time ago the FSF discovered that software users could loose their
freedom when doing their computing in others people's computers.
To protect users, the FSF released the AGPL, whose only difference with the
GPL is the following (quoting from
can we talk about that by email?
I've send you several emails but they don't seem to be getting to you
i sill have problems wih m keboard.
The letters "t","y" and numbers 1234 and 7890 don't work on the keyboard of
my minifree t400.
I tried restarting, updating and upgrading but nothing works.
I'm typing this with the on screen keyboard.
Could I revert to some previous keyboard driver?
Only the issue with the Screenshots is solved. It keeps disabling the
keyboard and (partially the touchpad).
I changed the default keybinding of taking a screenshot from 'Print' (which
is a key I cannot find on the Lenovo T400) to Ctrl + P.
The problem is solved, it seems.
I just bought a Lenovo T400 Thinkpad from Leah and it's giving me the
following problems:
Upon start, all goes well but after a while it begins to take random
screenshots (which are stored in the Images folder).
It also disables the keyboard and touchpad.
When I reboot the problems go away
Does someone here run his own mail server?
How difficult is it?
Does it require a lot of maintenance and/or black magic?
Can you do it with only free software and free hardware and on the cheap?
I want to connect a black box to my router and be done with it, kind of.
What kind of hardware device would you like to have? Obviously running
entirely free software and with free hardware designs.
Some ideas:
Videogame console
Portable videogame console
Electronic Ink reader
Tablet
Non tracking smartphone
Wearable computer (watch, glasses, etc)
Personally, I
Thanks all for all the comments.
I think I have to change the following things in my lifestyle to make it
coherent with principles:
Buy a computer with free booting firmware and fully free operating system.
Get a paid account on posteo.
Ditch the tracker and get a phone number on the
This questions are addressed to Leah.
Does Libreboot T400 from Minifree come with Bluetooth runnning out of the
box?
How old are the refurbished computers on average?
Thanks and keep up the good work.
That's very interesting. I wonder if it works in China, where now it is
mandatory to identify yourself before buying a SIM card.
The thing is that I need to listen to books. That is, use a TTS like eSpeak
to read out loud books to me.
I also need to accelerate the audio to play it faster.
I think it would be interesting to live without a phone. I would just send
emails
But do you have any other type of phone?
After reading about the situation with mobile phones and free software, I've
come to the conclusion that they are trackers. How can I live without a
mobile phone then? Is it inconvenient?
I like using bluetooth earphones or headphones on the go. I am thinking of

How to Dock a window to the left or right side of your monitor?
In Ubuntu 16.04 LTS I used to do it this way:
Ctrl+Super+Left Arrow - Dock to the left side of your monitor
Ctrl+Super+Right Arrow - Dock to the right side of your monitor
I've been looking in settings but no luck
This morning I downloaded some .ogg audio files using mps-youtube.
This afternoon everything (as far as I know) is m4a or webm in mps-youtube.
VLC doesn't recognize webm as a audio file.
I have set the default audio format to download to m4a, which VLC can play.
¿What happened to OGG?
Thanks SuperTramp83, that worked. One caveat is that I have to autoremove and
purge the other kernel, otherwise the system was unbearable slow. I was
surprise it was not noted on jxself procedure. I would like to contact him
about that, but I do not know how to send him an email, with so
Performed the memory test for 20 hours. No errors. The problem persists.
Thank you Ali, your story is inspiring. Keep up the good work
No, I cannot log into a text session after typing Ctrl+Alt+F2.
Right now, I get stuck if I reboot. But I can boot correctly if I boot a
second time.
I am going to have to live with it, I guess.
The machine is a Dell Inspiron 14-3452. I bought it September 2015. I would
be very surprised if the problem consisted of something hardware, but I will
try it. Thanks Fenderbassist!
