Does anyone know when quidam expects Trisquel 6.0 to be ready?
You could also mess with this file:
/etc/X11/default-display-manager
It might be nicer than moving the gdm.conf file.
that did the trick, thanks :)
Thanks, but I don't think that /etc/grub.d/ is that simple in Trisquel 5.5.
I seem to remember issues with setting the timeout on 5.0 before and also
having to change the menu hiding.
Thankfully, holding down shift works for me, as answered below. :)
If it offers any clues, I pressed preview then save, instead of just
save.
sorry to be a bother, but ompldr.org has been down for at least a few days.
Would you mind posting the the image to http://imgur.com/ ?
Thanks!
I am having a similar issue:

Do you see a white cursor in the upper left hand corner? What if you wait for
about a minute? Usually, my laptop will wake up after that amount of time.
I recommend NoScript:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NoScript
It's GPL and it lets you block javascript from any number of sites. It also
keeps a whitelist that you can easily change whenever you visit a web page.
It helps you to avoid the javascript trap.
