You could try downgrading to an older kernel version by installing linux-image-generic package version that is supported by the PPA (3.0.0-20 I believe) (you can find the older kernel package name by typing in the terminal without quotes apt-cache search linux-image-generic). Then choose

Guyz with any software: Empathy, Ekiga, Skype, Google Talk Plugin etc .. The audio does not work! The video works! When I make a conversation with someone, my webcam works but the sound comes from within and not from my pc mic as it should. But if I make a sound recording the microphone

I noticed one other thing might be useful. If I open cheese to recover, the webcam works, the microphone does not. Audio and video together as if they could not coexist!? Again, if instead I do a simple sound recording the microphone is working perfectly. I do not understand! Thanks

There's no need to upgrade the kernel (and in fact it isn't recommended as it isn't supported by Trisquel's developers). Just upgrade Alsa modules as described here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules In short, open a terminal and type: sudo add-apt-repository
