I can boot Trisquel 5.5 on USB pen, on various PC. Asus EeePC 1001PX, Lenovo
R60, on my self assembled desktop and on my pc at office Dell Optiplex 745

is there a specific reason why you want to boot the ISO from USB ?
The simplest and most straight forward approach to get a USB stick booting up
Trisquel 5.5 is simply to install it. You can treat the USB stick similar to
a small HDD. I run Trisquel 5.5 from a quality 16GB stick

I've created with the startup disk creator utility or via dd needs these
steps to boot:
1- Boot from USB, this will land to a boot: prompt
2- Type helpenter
3- Press F2enter

I have gotten bootable usb keys by using the 'dd' command, like this:
sudo dd if=path-to-iso of=path-to-usb-key bs=1M. Though these images
will boot normally, the installer may fail in the 'copying files'
phase. I get better results when using a utility called unetbootin.
This is
