I fixed it! I had to do sudo apt install kwin-x11 and restart the laptop. Then I get close / maximise buttons, can switch with Alt+Tab, etc. This was based on this Q https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/261122/kde-5-does-not-have-window-decorations This seems like a bug in Triskel

Thank you for your quick reply. Ok, tried that, didn't work. I ran: sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade sudo apt install But it was fully installed and up-to-date already. I also have triskel-recommended fully installed and up-to-date. Any more ideas on how I can fix this? Is this a bug

Try installing the package 'triskel' to make sure that the entire desktop environment is installed. signature.asc Description: PGP signature

[Trisquel-users] How to switch windows in KDE

2018-09-27 Thread stephen . biggs
I just installed Trisquel 8.0 with KDE. I can't switch windows or close windows. There are no close/enlarge buttons in the corner of the windows. Common keyboard shortcuts like Alt+Tab Alt+F4 don't do anything. Has anyone else experienced this? Anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks
