Okay, I think I figured out what happened. When I installed Python3, it
removes python2.6, which in turn removes the trisquel base system. (So, you
can't have multiple versions of the same package?) I tried fixing the issue
by reinstalling the base system again, but it ended up breaking
See the link below for a discussion about this. Apparently it's impossible
(or more work than it's worth) to default to Python3 even after installing it
properly. Perhaps that's different in Slackware?

I am myself most happy with Trisquel, but I am not a computer expert, so I do
not know if it does not provide enough flexibility for certain tasks. In any
