I had this issue with a x200 flashed to Libreboot two years ago. When I ran qemu with --enable-kvm or when I used libvirt (with virt-manager), it freezed and I was forced to hard shutdown. The x200 had a a P8400 Core 2 Duo, I don't remember the batch.. but on my current x200 (with a P8600)

That is a bug in the CPU. The only solution for this us using a different CPU. The Vikings D16 and the Talos II do not have that problem.

ah, the ol kernel panic, yep, I have had that happen on my x200 when I use virtual machines. It may be related to kvm. not sure though.

I am attempting to install PureOS 8.0 (beta) on a libreboot Taurinus laptop running Trisquel 8 using virt-manager. Everytime I try to create the PureOS virtual machine, I get a black screen filled with a whole lot of meaningless stuff on it. The screen freezes so all I can do is restart
