You can install computer-janitor to do a bit more than 'apt-get autoremove'. There is a graphical interface: computer-janitor-gtk.

Yes. If it does not want to remove useful stuff (in my case it wants to remove the software I installed through a .deb to declare my taxes). Otherwise, uncheck what is to be kept.
