Is there a way to root my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 via trisquel? The carrier is Verizon. Snapdragon edition of Note 4, 5.1.1. android version. With Free software only of course! :)

I am aware of that page already. But doesn't it depend on what carrier you have? It doesn't have a guide for galaxy note 4 with Verizon as carrier. Will the note 4 international version or note 3 verizon work?

I remember reading on XDA that Verizon lock their bootloaders. So CM may not be possible (it's not officially listed). Your options are: 1. Look in the unofficial ports page on the CM website, as they only officially support a device if almost everything works. 2. Browse the relevant forum on

Rooting devices on GNU/Linux systems some times is so much harder than it should be! And that is even when you ignore the freedom side of the software!
