[Trisquel-users] Simple Evolution Setup Q

2015-10-02 Thread john_harvey
Hello. Novice GNU person here. I'm trying to first time set up an email account. I go through the Evoution setup but it doesn't work. I think it needs a password to my provider (comcast.net) but nowhere does it ask for a password. Where might that be in the setup wizard? Thank you. Zem

-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 The first time you check or send mail, I think Evolution will ask you for passwords, and offer the chance to store them. -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1 iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJWDwrPAAoJEPDWzxLwi2tAfbYH/iO7tigls0nUtF0tZYG8saFC

Thanks Dave. I looked for that, but I've tried to send with no such prompt.

You are correct. On first POP/IMAP/SMTP/whatever connection, if the server prompts for a password, Evolution will ask the user for one.
