Thanks!
Ahaa! Well, good to know that forcing an indirect rendering context gives a
correct output. So to sum it up for the OP:
glxinfo -i | grep direct
This is no longer true.
glxinfo | grep direct
Thanks guys.
How do I test whether it works with 3D acceleration?
care to explain yourself?
I take that was directed at me. I believe that used to be the method to find
out. However for example I get direct rendering: yes as result but my wonkey
old ATI card certainly provides me no 3d acceleration.
lembas: when I tried that on the lappy with acceleration it said yes. When I
try it on a lappy without accel. it says yes.
So, it appears to work indeed.
Here, see if one of the following will do ->
http://www.upubuntu.com/2013/11/how-to-check-3d-acceleration-fps-in.html
For me without -i it says yes and with -i no. The devil as usual is in the
details.
Make sure you add these details to https://h-node.org/ :)
And run some tests on that graphics card! How well does the latest noveau
work?
Too bad you can't get wifi man :( that really sucks.
ThinkPad T450:
CPU: Intel i5
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA 940M (may not work with 3D acceleration)
wireless card doesn't work.
"Too bad you can't get wifi man :( that really sucks."
its not too bad i don’t think you can replace the internet wifi card on
this think pad as you cant install libreboot on it yet
but you can use a external usb adapter
I've been using Trisquel 7.0 on a Lenovo T450 for a few months. I bought an
external Penguin Wireless N USB Adapter for GNU / Linux from Think Penguin
and it works great! I am using GNOME 3 as well and the grpahics card does
work with 3d acceleration.
