My current struggle is ridding my compulsive non-complementary
participation in the human game. To say "NO" to the opportunities to get
involved (my ego?) and to commit to quieting the mind and no longer being
under the thrall of the matrical logos that sets the parameters for this
never ending universe.

Hubbard was on the right quest, but looking in the wrong place -- the mind.

I just returned from a wedding related to my brother and it embroiled me in
many postulates/counter-postulates. Mine and theirs. The mind was busy.
It was like I had been sitting on the fence and I now had to choose sides
and get off, one side or the other.

My conclusion was that "Presence" is the only thing one needs to give those
who reach out to you. But you won't develop this presence playing the same
games they are playing, not without committing to do the work of clearing
the mind. Presence is a beautiful, scarce, thus valuable thing.

I would like to attach a speech from Aloka David Smith, a regular British
bloke who is an exemplar of commitment and discipline in his particular
method of clearing the mind. It still applies to Trommers and anyone else
seeking to complete a work.

He resonates and expounds on the problems of starting and doing one's
clearing work, just as Dennis did in his lecture..."the hardest part is
starting..."
