During the Consumer Electronics Show, CNet -- a technology website -- had announced that Dish's Hopper was a finalist in its" Best of CES" awards. Shortly thereafter, CBS -- who had bought CNet back in 2008 -- told them to pull them from consideration, as they were suing Dish over Hopper. Dish got a good press release out of it ( http://j.mp/Vr2iam http://j.mp/13mZooR), while people wonder how badly CBS broke the tenuous thread of journalistic trust granted to the site (or confirming the cynics darkest views of product or promotional journalism). -- Wesley McGee http://www.ambivi.com http://sterlingnorth.vox.com http://drawing-a-blank.tumblr.com Twitter: @westwit G+: http://plus.google.com/113413697748381364954 Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/wesleymcgee -- TV or Not TV ....
