For me, the highlight of the conversation were the Bob Hope memories, and Johnny Carson’s less than flattering opinion of Hope. It reminded me that I turned down a job working for Hope. I interviewed with his wife Delores, who explained to me that Bob didn’t have much longer to live and the job ended the day he died, so I passed on it, believing it might prematurely halt my career in the entertainment industry.
