Hello, This is Peter Bart from Variety Magazine. We are holding a press conference at Variety's office in LA on Monday 29 th July at 10am. When we were owned by Reed we did something so very wrong,we parodied a mans pain and suffering in ink rather than standing up to Jerry Bruckheimer. We were told to do this by corporate at Reed,however it was clearly wrong. I also took money from Bruckheimer to kill the story. We are now owned by PMC and we are trying to fix mistakes we made in the past. My CEO Jay Penske has told me to invite everybody to our PC even people I doubt will attend. We are also running print ads in major markets. All will be explained at out PC,however to let you have a brief outline. A man developed a show called The Amazing Race,by his own admission it was mindless drivel however it was mindless drivel that was meant to fund a charity. Bruckheimer in essence "stole" his IP and we parodied this in Variety as if it was funny. We estimate 20-30 million dollars and according to Hepburn 75 percent of that was due to fund his late daughters charity.
