The real problem FMC has is that they recycle the same films too frequently, and after a while viewers get the feeling that they've seen everything in the library ... so they stop checking the channel to see what's on.
FXM will probably backfire on them, because being on the same channel as FMC, viewers are going to expect commercial-free presentations, just like TCM. AMC saw a decline in viewers when they started taking commercial breaks. Maybe this is an offshoot of Mitt Romney's plan to commercialize PBS ... -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
