The very common reason of this is wrong config in main TS, make sure
you've got baseURL variable set and *it ends with the slash*
eg.:
config.baseURL = http://yourdomain.loc/

believe me it make no sense (in this case) :)
PS. I always use FireFox with FireBug for CSS adjusting. Thanks to them
I can check problems and test other values for CSS properties
immediately at the live page.

I'm building some kind of sitemap via TypoScript - which gets menu
positions from different PageTree branches and 'glues' them into one
list (in other order then placed in structure). All I need to finish the
work is header for each column which I'd like to create from page's

Generally it looks difficult but when you'll be more familiar with TSref
[2] you'll be surprised how easy and powerful it is ;)

in the column... you can insert it via TypoScript - into your template,
so then there will not be any content with colPos = x, and you'll have
your banners displayed still.
