I'm looking on the extension repository for a jquery or JavaScript a drop
down menu like on the beta site. plus also looking for a login drop
down. sorry for asking too elementary extension names(I try to search but i
could find one)

Hi,
IMO there is nothing like that as you need to do is have the JS and the
correct html markup.
Search for a standalone menu and just do the correct TS for the HMENU
and you are done.

I bet somebody tried to import full articles from an rss feed before -
can anybody help me?
Give external_import a try. It is definitely able to import full
articles, it can even handle rich-text field properly.
