And this is a recent version (13.06.2011)- as I install it I get no access
to the mm_forum backend:

tt_content elements, usage of extensions etc.
I recommend it too. I have installed it on most of the sites I manage.

but you can just remove all those extensions and let the customer mail
you ... *just kidding*
In 99%, if it got a plugin like pi1/pi2, you can find it in phpmyadmin
in table tt_content.
