I am having a hard time getting the tt-news-categories translated with
REALURL...I am using 3 languages (NL,EN and ES)
Used this snippet:

Other parts of the URL are translated correctly, for example, under ES I

are you looking for an extension? If so, search in TER for 'Lightbox'. There
should be plenty to select from.
Besides that, it's pretty easy to include any JS-Lightbox/Gallery into TYPO3
without the need for an extension. Refer to:
tt_content.image.20.1.imageLinkWrap ... for any
As the documentation says nothing about what permissions should be on any of the directories when installing I didn't change anything. My typo3conf folder is set to 755 but I will try to set it to 777 to see if that works. I will delete both of the files I had to create as per the error messages

I need to select more than three custom templates for list view. But it seems
that only two are possible. When I select the 3th layout nothing is displayed
(no news, no debug) the page is left blank.

Thanks for your reply, however I didn't receive the install file in my source
when downloading the zip file the first time. I downloaded the zip again and
it was there this time. All my permissions are set to 755 for directories and
644 for files by default, however I don't have php 5.3.7

It states that you need at least 5.3.7. 5.3.27 is even better.
You will get those problems with any PHP
How can a lower version of php be better? version 5.3.27 vs 5.3.70? I guess I am misunderstanding the statement in the install instructions. I have completely removed TYPO3 from my server and may try again at a later date. Just seems to be too difficult to get it to run on my server compared

runs when executed manually in a shell terminal, I'm thinking the problem lies
with the cron. I won't be able to check in on this for a while so I'l leave the

Sometimes it is better to restart. I have found my mistake. There were conditions in Layouts / Gerneral.html
f:if condition={settings.templateLayout} == 3... lacked
