I am with TYPO3 6.2 and tx_news. I have the following snippet:

Me again .. the newest version in TER fixed the problem for us.

I don't know... has the extension its dependencies written on its
ext_emconf.php?
Or maybe you have disabled the dependency check in EM (I don't remember how to
check or how to re-enable it again)

Maybe you found a solution for your problem so far? We run in the same problem.
Actually I didnt solve it, but maybe we have the same error.
The error we got hints TIKA as the source ... The Tika Solr service does not
support language detection
