Thank you for the informasjon that powermail 2.18 needs php 5.5 The problem
with http 500 error was solved by changing php from 5.4 to 5.5.
I suggest that information is added in the powermail manual in "Upgrade
powermail"

Yes, I am using PHP 5.4. I suppose that is the problem. I will check this out.

One additional note:
If you are using outdated PHP versions (like 5.4 or 5.3) powermail 2.17.1 is the last supported version.
Powermail 2.18.0 and newer needs PHP 5.5

- Clean all caches in Install Tool
- Remove all files and folder in typo3temp/
- Try to use the default TypoScript (comment out your TypoScript)
- Try to use
Did you try the latest version 2.20.0 ?
