I need to create a search box visible on all pages that can post data to
TYPO3 standard Search Form content element.
I tried to use the content element itself as TS object path but it displays
the search results as well on the search page.
Can anyone please tell me how to solve the pr
Just create a form in SETUP (or directly in your html template),
something like this one (change values of you need), then assign it to
the marker in your template.
Form's action is the search page alias
temp.search = HTML
temp.search.value (
value="" />align="absbottom" style="cursor:pointer
Thank you for the idea but as I said I'm not using indexed search but
standard search form. It's redirecting to the page but not showing any
search results.

Well, but what's on the 'search' page you submit form to? Which
extension you use to search and display results?

Standard Search Form content element.
This is only CE, that displays a form - not a search engine. You should use
it in combination with indexed_search.

I managed to implement the search box, just took the standard search form
generated code, modified it according to my needs and implemented it like a
HTML element.
I've been searching but can't seem to find the templates for standard search
form. Does anybody know the name of the of the sys extens

I also try to use the standard search box, because my language amharic
is not supported by indexed search.
I am working on 4.5 and there is no chance to use indexed search. I
wonder why there are nothing about these issues for the Kyrillic or Thai
languages.
