We are running wIntegrate 5.1.1 as a front end to Universe 9.6.1.3 running

Yeah But you have to admit, this is an "interesting" solution to

The IBM UniVerse acct.restore does not support the mvBASE .vtf file. You
will have to make a SAVE to physical tape. Remember only 1 account at a
time. Make your tapes at 8192 for least problems as that is the default
on the UniVerse side.

So how long will it take the industry to figure out that if you can keep
data in an xml-like data model for the life of the data, rather than ever
putting it in 1NF, it will be easier (and less expensive) for everyone?

Hi All,
The other day I walked into a store to pick up a new dryer because my other
dryer (1 year old) had caught fire. Note to self: Make sure you clean out your
dryer ducts on a routine basis. Anyway, one of the sales reps starts to log
into their system when I notice an AIX message pass by.
I need to do an account restore from an mvBase.vtf to universe. Does any one
have instructions for this one?
Thanks

Ross,
Please tell me you are kidding. RETURN TO is worse than using a GOTO.
You think you are dealing with a nice neat subroutine and then the
'hidden' goto in the return bites you.

We are using 3 distinct ways of backup,
first i use a perl script to make a harddisc copy of the whole database as a

You can obviously smoke your cigar in the privacy of your home and use GOTO
in the code nobody else will have to deal with. But you can't expect today
either to smoke in a room where non-smokers work or program GOTO style in a
team of programmers who try to
