Argh! You're making me feel geeky inept!! WTH is Twitter?! I'll Google it
and find out, so feel free to ignore me for the time being.
FWIW: I just started a Facebook page a couple months ago. I'm just not a
social person maybe?? Socializing doesn't make code appear in my projects so
I tend to
I thought Twitter was just another Facebook.

I'd rather see a daily blog on a facebook discussion group.
(or even a daily blog posted to this list!)
or maybe post a daily digest of the twittering on the
facebook group.
BTW, there is a facebook group pick developers although
not too many of the members look familiar to this list.

Clif,
Why don't you just set up a new category in the Spectrum blog for
conference happenings? It has an RSS feed built-in and anyone can check on
it from the intarweb. You can post video segments, if equipment is
available, and sound bytes.

As a complete BTW on this thread - the twitter api is realy simple esp if
you are on *nix - just use curl
e.g. curl -u username:password message text
http://twitter.com/statuses/update.json
So also very easy to slot into your Databasic - i use this for some activity
logs for some of my Phantoms.
Like my tool that started my morning coffee
when I booted D3, or the QM tool that turned off the outside

utility of such geekiness - but this sort of thing leads to
innovation. Obviously people outside of the MV market appreciate
My last comment on this before suggesting we now move over to the u2-
community list if there are further ideas of a non-technical nature.
(I found Symeon's idea of using Twitter to pass along alerts from
phantoms rather clever.)
I want to thank everyone who shared their comments, both on
