The interesting question is why use MQ to communicate between Oracle and
Universe - when you could use UCI? Or do you mean you have two
applications using these respective databases that will communicate??

Failing new bugs/features in MQv7, there should not be any significantly
differences compared with prior MQ releases. Given that there is no
further development of the AMI Supportpac.

You biggest issue is dealing with MQ, if it is new you. Especially, your
UniVerse developers who may only ever coded in UV/BASIC before.

David

Subject: [U2] UV AIX 10.2 <-> MQ 7

Hello !

We are starting a project using Websphere MQ 7 to provide messaging
services between an Oracle 10G and an AIX UV 10.2 server.
Have anyone tried the UV-AMI-MQ interface with MQ 7 ?

Any tips about this subject are welcome.

Thanks in advance,

Ronald Sekkel
