Stephen, When you used the UB Link Calc you told it your TDD Freq was 5800 which is 47db EIRP. From the screen shots you are really using DFS freqs which are limited to 30db EIRP. In my opinion a 7.7 mile shot with an Airfiber 5 will give you the performance that you are seeing because you do

Good catch. The 30db tx power is probably EIRP, not tx power (weird label IMO). Josh Luthman Office: 937-552-2340 Direct: 937-552-2343 1100 Wayne St Suite 1337 Troy, OH 45373 On Tue, Oct 21, 2014 at 4:56 PM, G. Nicholas wrote: > Stephen, > > When you used the UB Link Calc you told it your TDD

It is EIRP. and the drop in throughput is interference. - Original Message - From: Josh Luthman To: Ubiquiti Users Group Sent: Tuesday, October 21, 2014 2:03 PM Subject: Re: [Ubnt_users] AirFiber5 Issues Good catch. The 30db tx power is probably EIRP, not tx power (weird

I agree about the interference. I found the spectrum had to be clean or even at less than 3 miles we had a hard time getting much throughput. Casey at AirLink has a 15mile link doing 250Mb one way. On Tue, Oct 21, 2014 at 4:20 PM, Kees H wrote: > It is EIRP. and the drop in throughput is inter

Look at your link calc. Calculated output EIRP was at 41. I ran a 7.7 mile link calc in one of our AF5's with the max output power set to 30dBm, and it says a 40MHz channel @ 30dBm will get around 4x modulation, 16QAM, 204Mbps with a -77. That's probably a bit optimistic, but it also looks like

After setting both APs back to 5.5.8 and getting everyone on, I haven’t seen the problem since. One of the APs is now at 20MHz with a different SSID. I’m still converting the other one over but I will have it done tonight but it seems the problem went away. Rory From: ubnt_users-boun..
