OK, here is the deal: On AC gear you need to put the last frequency in your
list as a non-dfs channel. If it has detection>detection>detection it will
indeed jump to a channel outside of your freq list. You need to set a non-dfs
channel as the last one to ensure that it doesn't jump to the wor
One way you can get a false hit.
Had a DFS radio attached to frame of a window. The link went in front of the
window. Whenever the customer opened or closed the (sliding) window, the radio
got a DFS hit.

The wireless freq selection works fine. I use it on all 50+ AC AP radios i
have. In the scan list pick the freq you want it to use.

My channel list does nothing.
The AC radio will still choose any (seemingly) random channel and
sometimes it grabs a noisy one and throws everything off. Or cuts
throughput in half or worse.
DFS timers will cut on for 15 minutes sometimes based on what it picks.
And the whole thing is a mess. J
Even with certification, they have stricter limits on power output correct?

Hi Alex,
You should have the option to limit the channel list under Wireless ->
Control Frequency List.
We are working on some features to help reduce false hits further and
improve channel selection on a hit.

OS8 does a better job at the issue however essentially if a PrismAC radio
sees activity on the DFS channel you are on that is not part of its
session list, it runs away and goes to another channel.
I think its physically impossible for these class of rad

Hi Guys,
airMAX radios should only jump to another channel if a RADAR hit is
detected. I would suggest running a Frequency list when operating in DFS
bands.
That being said, this is most like related to a bug fixed in airOS8beta16.

I have a 5AC PRISM doing the same thing. I manually pick a DFS channel on
the wireless tab and the radio will go to a non-DFS channel. Does not
matter which DFS channel I pick, it will go to a non-DFS channel to operate.
It will let me manually pick a non-DFS channel and it will stay on it. Not
No, not confusing them.
Complaining about both.
DFS channel selection has a mind of it's own. With or without a
frequency list.
And auto, does not pick the best channel, or anywhere close.

So DFS on the AC lites is basically a sham from what I can tell.
I pick a dfs channel and the rocket picks it's own channel. Usually a
channel with much higher noise/interference.
I use the frequency list and it does me no good.
In addition, I have lot's of frequencies that are in the -90's for
