Hi, I notice when I go to the top panel,
sometimes I can use the arrow keys to hear volume control and so on.
However most of the time this doesn't work.
Is there a command I am suppose to use after getting to the top panel to expand
dialog for this menu.

I'll jump on this wagon too.
My only requirement is an audible sound whilst the progress bar is
incrementing and then an alarm / othre sound once the bar is complete.
Whether that is spoken or sound I don't really mind.

I second that, but with the addition that it would apply to progress
bars in general, would that be possible?

Hi, could beeps be added to give the progress of downloads and so on.
The sound of the beep could get higher as the download progresses.
