I've noticed over time that many, many SVGs render differently in Nautilus than they do in Inkscape. I always just figured the Nautilus SVG renderer is half-assed and that nobody really cares -- the same seems to be true of Firefox, which renders SVGs very differently from Inkscape as well. On Mon
