First one is really good and definitely better... i believe the weather
is a realistic thing and depicting it almost as realistic as possible is
not wrong. :)

personally i prefer the first version...i think that is more real than the
other one, it fit better with the guidelines of the project...

I don't mind the fold although Thorsten makes a very good point about this
and also he's right about the difficulty to put something in that
perspective.
As Yann said, I think we should consider something like the concepts in the
wiki.
