I think it's easier and more consitent to include a computer entry similar
to the places menu item in the sidebar above or below the filesystem entry.

I think it all comes down to the final integration of art and photograph.
Maybe http://www.desktopography.net/ can help for inspiration? Although it's
got some wild pieces with a lot of contrast, you'll also find proof that the
contrast can be soft if done right.
