Hi folks
We have a usability problem in Software Updater (formerly known as
Update Manager).
The problem is that when the updates dialog appears by itself, there's
no visual clue that this is an official Ubuntu thing. In Ubuntu 12.10
and earlier,
If you search for update in Google Images you get mostly variations of
spinning arrows. The parachute idea is nice, but maybe it would be
better to stick to what the user is used to and try to get something
nice using those arrows.

I've come up with a very quick and dirty idea, which would need better
attention to detail.
I started with the idea of +
A plus, in terms of updates, means extra. It's what it was before, but a
little bit extra.
In terms of shopping, the plus could be used to express getting more.
Airdrop idea rox. We should go this way. Imho those + or arrows are too usedup
by others.
I'll make some projects when i get home, which is about 3hours.
