Hi. I'm not sure about adding more details, cause I think that would
disbalance overall sleek and clean style of the cover, but if that is
something you think you should work on, it's not a problem. I will
send you a private mail with this psd file, cause I haven't upload it
anywhere yet, and I

I don't know, cutout on the side icons seems to be only alternative to
current shade. And I played with Tux placement already, for the sake
of balancing white area of the pictogram like you said, but to me it
doesn't look that nice, when it's not placed perfectly in the center
Thanks for suggestions, but I think I will leave mirrored circles,
cause without them, the front side looks quite lifeless, compared to
back. And too simple, even for this kind of flat and sleek design. I'm
still considering what to do with Tux. Maybe I'll leave it maybe I'm
not...

This is my last touch on Lucid and Maverick DVD casing. Something like
a tribute to last two great editions of our lovely OS, from 2010. I'm
not happy with direction that Natty is going on, with this Unity
thing, so I'm not sure that I will make a covers for 11.04 version,
but maybe I'll change my
Nice... Just, those are not covers. Those are CD/DVD labels, and I'm
not creating labels that often.

@Tomislav - You have an email, with some mailing list related
explainations in our language. ;)
Regarding Covers, I respect your opinion. Some people may find all
those dots a bit messy. But if you're familiar with last two official
Ubuntu CD covers, especially the 10.04 one, than you know that
I thought there's something interesting going on with 4 new topics

So this time it's only about photography, right? No graphically
manipulated / designed from scratch, wallpapers?
Heh, this sounds to me rather as a step backwards, not forward. But
ok, I respect decision, whoever is responsible for this one.
Ubuntu direction just continues to seem so wrong to
So hey to you all again!
I haven't been around here in last year, as I jumped over 10.04 and 11.10
editions, but since Ubuntu is gaining some solidness again, I will do some
artwork related to it again.
This is the basic DVD cover concept I have on my mind for upcoming Ubuntu
12.04 LTS edition.
@Tomislav
It is the same preview, just with changed number 4, as obviously default 4
in this font looks like 9 also, so I changed it.
@Dub
I'm not sure why would it look like a date more than a version number, to
anyone who knows what Ubuntu is, and also check out Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10
version
Thanks Yogesh. For information about dots that you are seeing lately, go

Because you don't have any single pixel corelating with Ubuntu brand
guidelines. No Ubuntu colors, no Ubuntu typography, no Ubuntu shapes,
beside this distorted COF logo.
