I have fixed this. Turns out there was a broken memory module.

I am trying to install 8.04-2 on my server at home and I have run into some
problems in burning/reading the disk.
I downloaded the iso from the UWA mirror and checked the Md5 sum which was
correct. I then burnt it to a cd at a slow speed (4x).

for beginners as it has a web based GUI that allows you to set up samba, NFS
and Apple shares very easily. It also supports nearly all RAID variants ( 0,
1, 5, JBOD, 5+0, 5+1, 0+1, 1+0, etc. ) and a host of other things (the
