Please reject the bug then. I don't see much point in backporting this
and cutting all the dependencies down. We can't have it in dapper-
updates because it's not exactly a bug fix release.

Alright, Backports is currently waiting on a newer Edgy upload of
checkinstall.
In the meantime, can people confirm the checkinstall problems?
Checkinstall is working fine for me in Dapper on two of my systems, so I
find it strange that it doesn't work for some.

Krusader is installed by fetching Debian Sid packages and using dpkg to
install it. This is not an acceptable way of installing packages on
Ubuntu, and will lead to binary incompatibilities and/or upgrade hell
come time for Edgy.
I understand a new version of Krusader is not
I'll use pbuilder to properly compile some 1.70 debs. Until then, the
krusader instaler shoud just use Dapper's version.
