The restart works OK - I have had hplip 1.6.6 running on my system for
several weeks. In originally referring to script glitches, I was
pointing out that installation does not go smoothly, not that
installation fails.

Looks like both the 1.5 and 1.7 packages are listed under unstable at
debian now. I'm confused how these could be unstable, but I haven't
tested them either. Well since they're both unstable, we might as well
get a 1.7 package going for edgy eh?

I having the same problem as justinchudgar after upgrading to edgy. The
386 kernel boots fine, but the generic hangs when it's unable to mount
the root filesystem. It's a Asus A8N-E motherboard with a X2 4400+ CPU.
After a while I'm dropped to a shell in the initrd image, and can see
that the sata_
I did a compile of this on edgy AMD64, it required building sdlperl from
Debian unstable. I got the source from MoM. Other from that, it works
fine. I may attach a debdiff later.
