Just FYI, the jar bug is this one:

And it was fixed in beagle 0.2.10. 0.2.14 is the currently released
version.

I found that the advice below (posted by Eythian) calmed it down instantly, i
also added .exe to the exclusion list just to be on the safe side.

has been fixed in later releases. I successfully used prevu to create
the ejabberd-1.1.2-4 package from feisty, the only change that was
needed was to change the 'erlang-nox' and 'erlang-dev' dependency b

The bug in is resolved in 0.14.1 (Edgy and upstream) and 0.14.2
(Feisty). Closing.
PS: it might be desirable to upgrade 6.06 LTS to 0.14.2-2 too.
