qtoctave 0.7.4+dfsg-2 is the current in intrepid just now; the only
change is a patch to support cmake 2.6, but this patch makes is
incompatible with cmake versions prior to 2.6, and hardy contains cmake
2.4.7-1build1.

Yes, changing a kernel from not working to working would definitely slightly
affect the rest of the system :-)
Any yes, it would also expose other bugs, given that a system that is frozen by
a broken kernel does not expose any :-)
More seriously, the problem is that the "correct way" has not hap
I'd like it to! But given the amount of changes undergone by the source
code, I doubt it will be accepted. This is a completely new release. Not
speaking of the libmicrohttpd4 dependency that should be introduced...
What do you think? Easier to make a backport, isn't it?
