This would need a importance set to hight as lightning has been backported in
#220166 without locales which breaks all installation for people who have
locales installed. locales are rdepends for lightning...

Do you still have the problem in 8.10? If so, please install "gphoto2"
and do
gphoto2 --debug --debug-logfile /tmp/gphoto.debug.txt -L

The linux-igd package disappeared from Ubuntu in the hardy release, only
to reappear in intrepid. I'd like to use this package on my router,
which I prefer to keep on the LTS release, so I'm hoping the intrepid
(or jaunty) version can be backported into hardy-backports.
