Network manager applet shows annoying popup bubbles that can't be disabled.
The issue is fixed in Network Manager applets svn revision 1046 and later.
Could the newer version be backported to intrepid?

intrepid. Upstream 2.12 has just been released for Jaunty (#313843), so
this bug asks for a backport.
